Also, it's just fun to be out on the boat drinking nice wine and seeing Venice from the water - and the southern lagoon is beautiful.
I normally get really sea sick, but the lagoon is much calmer than the sea, so I felt perfectly fine the whole time.
There was a storm forecast for the day I planned for and Alessandro contacted me well in advance so I could rearrange my plans for a different day, which I really appreciated. I had booked other things that day and he was the only one who warned me in advance that the storm might impact the tour - that was very thoughtful.
