We had the most amazing boat ride and afternoon with Alessandro learning about Venice and enjoying some wine.

  We had an ok private tour with Alessandro for our family of six (four kids ages 11, 7, 7, & 2). I think this is a better option for families... read more with older kids, however. There were no life vests on the open boat which was a bit nerve-wracking and at one point water splashed all over our 7-year-old and there were no towels or blankets available on the boat despite the cold weather. The tour was interesting and showed us many parts of Venice you wouldn’t otherwise see, but it did feel a bit like Alessandro was going through the motions and not particularly interested in interacting with the kids.
